The cozy town of San Miguel is located at the northernmost portion of the county, about 8 minutes north of Paso Robles, with a population of just over 3,000 people.
Perhaps the most widely known feature is Mission San Miguel which was founded in 1797 and is a State and Historic Landmark. The church still holds services and many from all over the world come to visit to learn about the Mission’s rich California history.
San Miguel is surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards and beautiful countryside where many love to drive or bike. The local’s love the “small town” feel of San Miguel in that the local businesses are family owned and operated including the market, restaurants and shopping.
New housing developments have been approved and have provided beautiful and affordable homes to families from other areas of the central coast as well as those from out of the area that are looking to call SLO County “home”.
